Product Description

The Caspase 8 Activity Cell Apoptosis Detection Kit is used for detecting cell apoptosis by measuring the activity of Caspase 8. Caspase 8 is a Caspase protein encoded by the CASP8 gene. In neurodegenerative diseases such as Huntington's syndrome, caspase 8 plays an important role. Caspase 8 has been shown to have substrate selectivity, with its peptide motif being Ile Glu Thr Asp (IETD). This kit uses (Ac IETD) 2-R110 as a fluorescent indicator to detect the activity of caspas-8. The cleavage of R110 peptide by caspas-8 produces strong green fluorescence, with emission light between 520 nm and 530 nm and excitation light between 480 nm and 500 nm. This characteristic makes the kit suitable for FITC filters.
