Product Description
PikoGreen is an extremely sensitive double stranded DNA fluorescent dye that only emits fluorescence after binding to the DNA double strand, and the generated fluorescence is proportional to the DNA concentration. It can selectively detect dsDNA as low as 25 pg/mL in the presence of ssDNA, RNA, and monomeric nucleotides. Compared with traditional DNA quantification methods, it has the following advantages:advantage：
sensitive：The order of magnitude is more sensitive than UV absorbance readings, which can save samples.
Strong specificity：Only binds to dsDNA, has strong specificity, and is not affected by routine sample contamination. The traditional UV absorption method is easily affected by the presence of single stranded DNA, proteins, RNA, and other substances in the sample.
Good tolerance：Tolerant to high concentrations of salt, urea, ethanol, chloroform, descaling agents, proteins, or agarose, PCR amplification products can be directly quantified without the need for purification from the reaction mixtureDNA。
Wide linear range：The PikoGreen dsDNA dye showed good linearity in measuring DNA concentration within the range of 100 pg/mL to 100 ng/mL.
Easy to operate：Add dye to the sample, dye for 5-6 minutes, and then read, suitable for 96 and 384 well plates. Compatible with most fluorescence based enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) analyzers.
