Multiple Cyanine 7 dyes are used for biomolecular labeling, fluorescence imaging, and other fluorescent biological analyses. They are widely used for labeling peptides, proteins, nucleotides, etc. Cyanine 7 (cy7) is the most commonly used near-infrared fluorescent dye and is often used for live imaging of small animals because it avoids the visible light region that many substances absorb. The absorbed near-infrared light penetrates deeper into biological tissues, and the excited fluorescence is less affected by the background of biological tissues, so it can generate signals in deep tissues. Especially in the range of 700-900 nm, the absorption of water and hemoglobin is minimal, and near-infrared light can penetrate up to 15 cm deep into tissues. At the same time, these dyes also have biological safety that UV dyes and isotope labeling cannot possess.
Cyanine 7 NHS ester has strong hydrophobicity and requires co solvents. The Cyanine 7 NHS ester provided by Li Ji Biotechnology is triethylamine hydrochloride, which is different from the potassium salt form of Cyanine 7 NHS ester provided by other manufacturers. Under the same optical properties and reactivity, it has better solubility.
