Product Description
The RPMI-1640 medium was named after the development site (Roswell Park Memorial Institute) and is an improved version of McCoy's 5A medium. Originally used for suspension or monolayer culture of human leukemia cells. Later, it was discovered that this culture medium was also suitable for cultivating HeLa, Jurkat, MCF-7, PC12, Peripheral blood monocytes (B and T lymphocytes), astrocytes, and cancer cells.
The difference between this product and other culture media is that it contains reduced glutathione and high concentrations of vitamins. Contains biotin, vitamin B12, and para aminobenzoic acid, as well as high concentrations of inositol and choline chloride, which are present in both EMEM and DMEM.
This product is formulated with ultrapure water.

usage method
1. RPMI-1640 medium does not contain proteins, lipids, and growth factors. Therefore, RPMI-1640 medium usually requires the addition of 10% premium fetal bovine serum (product number: AC03L055) during use.
2. Cultivation conditions: Cultivate in an incubator containing 5-10% carbon dioxide.
