PikoGreen is an extremely sensitive double stranded DNA fluorescent dye that only emits fluorescence after binding to the DNA double strand, and the generated fluorescence is proportional to the DNA concentration. It can selectively detect dsDNA as low as 25 pg/mL in the presence of ssDNA, RNA, and monomeric nucleotides. Compared with traditional DNA quantification methods, it has the advantages of high sensitivity, strong specificity, good tolerance, wide linear range, and convenient operation. It is suitable for precise determination of DNA concentration in fields such as cDNA library construction, DNA subcloning, PCR products, etc. Compared to traditional methods, Pikegreen dsDNA Quantification Reagent has the following advantages for quantification:
