Product Information

Cyanine3 Hydrazide is an analog of Cy3 Hydrazide used for electrode depletion and neural gap junction research in neuronal cells, with a high number of activated groups for aldehyde labeling. Commonly used for fluorescence imaging of biomolecules and other fluorescence based biochemical analyses, this dye can label soluble proteins, peptides, oligonucleotides, and DNA. For more sensitive proteins, water-soluble Sulfo-Cyanine3 Hydrazide can be considered without the need for any co solvents.

After binding with biomolecules, the fluorescence of Cyanine 3 is enhanced. Conjugated hydrazide is often used to label amine groups in biomolecules, while maleimide is often used to label thiol groups.

Li Ji Biotechnology provides Cyanine 3 Hydrazide in the form of Triethylammonium salts, which has better solubility than Cyanine 3 Hydrazide in the form of potassium salts from other companies under the same optical properties and reactivity.

Broad spectrum properties of Cyanine 3 Hydrazide and Cy3 ® NHS ester, similar to Alexa Fluor 546 and DyLight 549, can be used as an alternative trial.
