Product Description

Agarose is a linear polymer with a basic structure consisting of long chains of alternating 1,3-linked β - D-galactose and 1,4-linked 3,6-endo-L-galactose. Agarose is generally heated to more than 90 ℃ to dissolve in water, and forms a good semi-solid gel when the temperature drops to 35-40 ℃. It is often used for daily nucleic acid analysis by gel electrophoresis or imprinting (such as Northern or Southern).
